Price Scholarship Program

The Price Scholarship Program, also known as the Sol Price Retailing/Service Scholarship Program, began in 1997 and provides a unique opportunity for recent high school graduates to complete an Associate Degree or a Certificate Program at San Diego City College. While students receive financial assistance, they also gain valuable experience through community service assignments with established community organizations. Price Scholars are required to perform 200 to 300 community service hours during each year of their participation. The program’s rigorous agenda also includes seminars, individual counseling, mentoring, program retreats, social events, peer support, and job skills.

Our mission is to increase the self confidence, cultivate the competence, and strengthen the character of deserving students in San Diego by supporting them in furthering their educational, professional, and career readiness skills.

The Price Scholarship Program is only available to students graduating from Garfield, Crawford, Lincoln, Monarch, Morse, San Diego High Schools, Urban Corps, and current students attending San Diego City College.
