Participate In Transforming City Heights, or P.I.T.C.H, is a second-mortgage loan program developed for first-time home buyers living in City Heights or working at non-profit, public agencies based in City Heights. PITCH is packaged with financing from lending partners who provide a competitive-rate first mortgage loan for purchases within specified boundaries of City Heights. PITCH provides up to $25,000 (twenty five thousand dollars) as down-payment assistance and allows borrowers to volunteer at selected non-profit community organizations to earn credits which reduce interest payments.
Borrowers are required to meet minimum qualifying ratios and provide $10,000 (ten thousand dollars) of their own funds toward down payment.
PITCH promotes homeownership and builds capacity among local nonprofit organizations. Price Charities believes it is im portant to keep long-time City Heights residents in the community and help them progress from renters to owners. Home ownership engages residents in their community as property-owning stakeholders.
Price Charities funds approximately ten (10) loans per year. The current loan portfolio exceeds two million dollars, earning interest at a rate of seven percent (7%).
