Vision Plan
After embarking on the final phase of the original Urban Village Plan, construction of The Village Townhomes and Office Center, Price Charities decided it was time to commission another community-driven planning effort for City Heights. To that end, Price Charities retained the architectural firm of Studio E to create an overall plan for City Heights that addresses different community identified needs.

Price Charities sponsored three Saturday morning workshops in which community residents volunteered their wish lists for future redevelopment projects in City Heights. Over 150 people attended each of the three workshops, providing suggestions and feedback. To facilitate diverse participation, the workshops offered simultaneous Spanish translation. Staff from the City of San Diego's Planning Department and Redevelopment Agency were also actively engaged as program facilitators and joint sponsors.

Studio E took the input from the workshops and reconciled it with recommendations from existing community plans and neighborhood revitalization plans. The final product was a series of recommendations for redevelopment efforts in several focus areas in City Heights, including University and Euclid, South Village and the I-15 Corridor. Studio E's analysis and recommendations are summarized in a Powerpoint Presentation that you can access below.
